Is homeownership for me?
How do I know how much I can afford?
What mortgage financing options are available to me?
Do I have enough money for a down payment and closing costs?
What does my credit look like?
What can I do about my credit so I can buy a home?
Those are reasonable concerns. While the housing market has seen fantastic improvements in the last few years, it’s good to be cautious. Some are still battling their way out of being under water on their home purchases, and it’s not a situation that anyone wants to find themselves in.
Since you want to be a responsible buyer, you know that your credit matters, but, like most people, you may have a few bumps or bruises on your credit reports. You’re curious to find out how to repair your credit, or if you’ve done enough to improve your credit to the point where you can finance a house. You don’t want to end up over your head or in a situation that’s not the best one for you and your family.
That you even have these concerns show that you’re probably ready for the huge commitment of buying a house. You’ve given the matter a lot of thought, rather than simply rushing into it because you feel like it’s what you should do. Now it’s just a matter of determining if you can financially afford the investment.
The North Texas Real Estate Seminar will answer a lot of these questions for you. We’ve put together a panel of presenters with a variety of experience to help you find those answers. Here’s a look at our line up:
John Parker, Loan Officer – John specializes in purchase loans, refinancing, and mortgage planning, with 10 years’ experience.
Willis Hunt, Credit Repair – Willis is a Certified Credit Repair Specialist who has helped over 200 families so he has a proven record of working with clients to repair and rebuild their credit.
